Occupation?   Semi-retired. Formerly Vice President, Highwoods Properties, Inc.  Currently engaged in various business enterprises with family and friends.

What is your favorite Scouting event?   Eagle Court of Honor for a scout I’ve watched grow up in the troop.

What do you most enjoy doing?   Spending time with my 7 grandchildren and their parents — and Grandma.

What is your best Scouting memory?   Philmont trip with my high school buddy.

If you had unlimited time and resources, what would you choose to do?   More unhurried time with family and travel, plus time with personally rewarding service projects.

What are the most important things in your life?   Family, Faith, Health and Service to Others.

What do most people not know about you?  Spent my junior year traveling around the world with the World Campus Afloat program.

What are your favorite movies?  Flight of the Phoenix (original); To Kill a Mockingbird (original); The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

What is your favorite food or meal?  Thanksgiving dinner with extended family.

What is your favorite book as an adult?    Tom Clancy novels.           As a youth?   C.S. Forester novels.

What is something about you that would surprise other people?   As a non-English major I took a year of Shakespeare as a senior for the fun of it with my English major friends.

What is your favorite childhood memory?   Living on a lake in NE Wisconsin.

What is your favorite music and bands? Stuck in the ‘60s, so just name a band, but also Moody Blues, Beach Boys, Four Tops.

What are your hobbies?  Photography, canoeing and outdoor camping, travel of any kind.
